US President Donald Trump insists in the legal dispute with media module Rupert Murdoch on a quick statement by the 94-year-old. As a reason, Trump’s lawyer also leads the old age of Murdoch as well as alleged earlier “health problems” in a court application to complain of the Republican.
Trump filed a complaint a week and a half ago and demands billions from the heavy businessman Murdoch, whose media empire also includes the conservative US newspaper “Wall Street Journal”. The sheet had reported on Trump’s connection to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. It was about an alleged congratulatory letter with slippery content on the 50th birthday of Epstein in 2003, which should bear Trump’s name. Trump denies to be the author of the letter.
Epstein, who had systematically abused minors for many years, committed suicide in his prison cell in 2019 at the age of 66. In parts of the US company, the death of the well-networked financier and the official autopsy report triggered speculation because Epstein had the best contacts in the American high society. Prominent and billionaires went in and out of him-Trump also spent time with Epstein, as several party videos show.
A president under pressure
So far, Trump does not want to open the Epstein files – even though he had promised this in the election campaign. That is why the US President is currently under massive pressure. Even from the ranks of the Republicans and his otherwise loyal electorate, there is criticism of him.
