At night after night, Ukraine is confronted with severe attacks from the air. Kyiv reacts to this with strengthening his own drone program and gets further help from the West.
Against the background of serious Russian attacks from the air, the Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj has announced another partnership for the construction of its own drones. The financing agreement with the Netherlands for drone production in Ukraine will be concluded this week, said Selenskyj in his evening video message. “Another 400 million euros for our Ukrainian companies, for our Ukrainian drone manufacturers,” he said.
Ukraine is currently expanding its own drone production with western financing aid. With this, Kiev wants to stop the Russian obesity on the front and – for example with interception drones – also defend itself against the Russian attacks. In his video message, Selenskyj recalled several fatal attacks during the day – the hardest of it at a prison in which 16 people were killed and 43 more injured.
Dispute over corruption investigators
In addition, Selenskyj also briefly discussed the affair about the circumcision of the full attorney of the anti -corruption authorities in the country. It is important that Parliament in Kiev passed its law on Thursday to guarantee the normal work of the anti -corruption authorities, he demanded.
It was only last week that Parliament had passed a law that the independence of the authorities trimmed; Supposedly because of pro -Russian activities there. Selenskyj initially signed the law. Because of the increasing protests, he had later withdrawn and assured that the new legal project will guarantee the independence of the corruption investigators.
