Many people were killed in a massive attack on the Ukrainian capital on Thursday night. Even a day after, emergency services hide the dead. Russia’s attacks continue.
After the massive Russian attack on Kiev on Thursday night, emergency services recovered further deaths from the ruins. According to the Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj, a total of 31 people were killed. Among them are five minors, the youngest child at the age of two. The number of victims reported on the evening before was still 16. Accordingly, 159 people were injured.
“This hideous attack by Russia once again shows the need for increased pressure on Moscow and additional sanctions,” Selenskyj wrote on the platform X. Russia in July alone had more than 5,100 sliding bombs, more than 3,800 fight drones of the originally Iranian design and used almost 260 rockets. “This can only be stopped by joint efforts – by America, Europe and other global actors -” he wrote.
Russia also attacked his neighboring country on Friday night. According to the military governor Iwan Fedorow, a 63-year-old man was killed in the Saporischschja region. His house was hit. In addition, four people in the region were injured.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, four people were also injured in drone attacks, as governor Serhij Lyssak announced. Among them are a four-year-old boy and a 14-year-old. Two farms, a high school and a post burned, so fire broke out on the premises of a private house.
Attacks with more than 70 drones
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia attacked its neighboring country with 72 drones at night – including battle drones but also those without or with little explosives that are used as bait to overload the air defense. 44 drones were repaid. 28 impacts were registered in nine locations. The front areas Kharkiw, Donetsk, Dnipropetrowsk and Kyiv were attacked.
Russia has been moving Ukraine with a destructive war of aggression for more than three years.
