While other countries criticize Israel’s procedure in the Gaza Strip, Germany is more of a good thing. CSU boss Söder emphasizes the line and names his hope.
Regardless of the sometimes massive international criticism of Israel, CSU boss Markus Söder Germany continues to see on the side of the country. “First of all, I think we have to stick to our lines, in our principles. That means we are closest partners with Israel,” said the Bavarian Prime Minister in the ZDF “Berlin directly summer interview”. Israel is democracy in the Middle East.
“It has to be done more for humanity”
“Israel has also been attacked, attacked, and Hamas is still hostage,” emphasized Söder. In addition, the Islamist terrorist organization prevented access to relief goods in the Gaza Strip. “That means we stand by Israel. But of course more has to be done for humanity.” Söder expressly praised the Federal Government’s path of being present and pointing out the situation. “The situation has improved a bit, but that’s not enough.”
The federal government had spoken in a similar way on Saturday. Government spokesman Stefan Kornelius spoke of “first easy progress in humanitarian aid for the population in the Gaza Strip”, which, however, were far from sufficient to relieve the emergency. Foreign Minister Johann WadePhul (CDU) even spoke of a “famine” in the Gaza Strip on Friday when he returned from the region.
