Should the Ukrainians live in Germany to be deleted the citizens’ allowance? Markus Söder is for that. And the Saxon head of government also advocates changes.

Saxony’s Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer supports changes to the citizens’ money – also for Ukrainians. The rules would have to change for “their own people, for the Germans, as well as for those who have come to us” so that performance is worthwhile, said the CDU politician in the ZDF morning magazine. Germany spends 47 billion euros for citizen money. “I think everyone is clear that this cannot be correct. This number has to go down.”

You have to ask what the state spends the money for, said Kretschmer. There are many examples of people who get money, but actually don’t have it necessary. “And of course this applies to those seeking protection in a special way because we have a comparison with France, Holland, Poland, in the Ukrainian refugees.

Bavaria’s Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) had previously spoken out for a harder course. He had said on Sunday in the ZDF summer interview that he was for the fact that the Ukrainians living in Germany should no longer receive civil allowance, “preferably not only those who will come in the future, but everyone”.
