In the Ukraine War, both sides provide their troops on the front by train. That is why train stations and tracks are always the target of attacks.

Russia and Ukraine intensify mutual attacks on strategically important train lines. During a nightly Russian air raid on the Ukrainian railway junction Losowa, the train station and other buildings of the infrastructure were damaged, as civil protection announced. A railway employee was therefore killed, ten other people were injured, as the Charkiw area announced.



Losowa runs by train lines to Charkiw and the East Ukrainian front cities of Kramatorsk and Kostjantyniwka. According to the information, the city was attacked by more than 30 Russian fighting drones. Mayor Serhij Selenskyj spoke of the heaviest attack in more than three years.

Additional push for the front should be interrupted


Both parties of the war hope to interrupt the enemy replenishment for the front by damaging the railroad. In addition to refineries, Ukraine has been attacking railway lines in Russia for several weeks. In the night of Tuesday, Russian reported the Tazzazisaja station in the Rostow area. There was no reliable information.

Ukraine has been defending itself against a Russian invasion since February 2022.
