The right -wing terrorist Beate Zschäpe has been included in a dropout program for neo -Nazis. The next year will be decided on your further duration of detention.
The convicted right-wing terrorist Beate Zschäpe has been included in a neo-Nazi dropout program. There have already been several appointments, her lawyer Mathias Grasel told the German Press Agency. Grasel did not provide more information about the program and the question of where this is located. This was so appointment with Zschäpe and those responsible for the program. Several media had previously reported.
In 2023, Zschäpe already wanted to be included in a dropout program of the Free State of Saxony – but was rejected. According to Grasel, the application was refused primarily because the end of the detention was still “not foreseeable” at the time.
Period of detention is checked in 2026
In 2018, Zschäpe was sentenced to life imprisonment after more than five years of trial as an accomplice at the NSU murder series. The Munich Higher Regional Court also found the special severity of the guilt. This means that early release is almost impossible after 15 years. Zschäpe sits in the Chemnitz correctional facility in Saxony.
According to Grasel, a so -called minimum duration of the Zschäpes detention must be set in November 2026. Admission to a dropout program is a factor of many, which is taken into account.

Personally, competent and entertaining: Editor -in -chief Gregor Peter Schmitz sends you the most important content from the star-Credaction and arranges what Germany talks about.
The “National Socialist Underground” (NSU) was a terrorist cell consisting of Zschäpe, Uwe Mundlos and Uwe Böhnhardt, who did ten murders throughout Germany from 2000 to years undetected in Bavaria. Her victims were nine traders of Turkish and Greek origin as well as a German policewoman. Mundlos and Böhnhardt also committed two bombings in Cologne with dozens of injuries. The two killed themselves in 2011 to avoid their arrest – only that was the NSU.
