The LKA Bayern arrested three people. The suspicion: they are said to have belonged to the alleged “imperial citizen” group around Prince Reuss – and trained with weapons.

“Today’s arrests in the area of the Reich Citizens’ Group show again: Our democracy is massively threatened by extremists and increasingly active terrorist groups from various ideological camps. Like other alleged supporters of the group in April 2022, the three arrested men are said to have participated in training with short-term and long weapons on the shooting range in Upper Franconia.





Investigations against a total of six suspects

According to current knowledge, the investigators assume that the exercises should serve to prepare a possible attack on the German Bundestag. A total of five men and a woman aged 40 to 61 are therefore investigated. Arrest warrants had already been issued against the three arrested men before the search.

According to LKA, objects that are subject to the weapons law were ensured during the searches – but also ensured data carriers, which must now be evaluated on evidence.





Until a final conviction, the presumption of innocence applies to the suspects. According to LKA, around 300 police officers were deployed during the campaign in the morning.

Three major terrorist processes are currently underway against the “Reichsbürger” group Reuss. The group was known after an anti-terrorist raid at the end of 2022.

The accused are said to have planned a violent overthrow of the federal government and consciously accepted the dead. As head of a new form of government, Heinrich XIII. Prince Reuss should act. Former AfD member of the Bundestag Birgit Malsack Winkemann is also one of the accused.
