For a long time, Donald Trump looked up at Vladimir Putin, now he calls him “crazy”. The almost 20-year relationship between the two in a quotation chronicle.

Seen in this way, the on-off relationship with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin is not particularly surprising. For the first (known) time, Trump reported to the Kremlin boss in 2007: “He does a great job,” he said about him at the time. It continued flattering up to the pain limit in the coming years. When Trump’s cosmetic competition stopped in Moscow in 2013, the : “Do you think Putin will come to the Miss Universe election in November in Moscow-and if so, whether he will become my new best friend?”

A lot has happened since then and the relationship between the two oscillated mostly between attraction and (benevolent) rejection. Most of the time, Trump was impressed by the strong man of Russia, who in turn reorganized himself with (poisoned) compliments. It was only after the US president could no longer overlook the Ukraine invasion in early summer this year that Putin simply passed through his attention.
The last chapter of this special bromance is far from written.
