Food, clean water and medication are urgently needed in the Gaza Strip. The foreign ministers of most EU countries and other countries are making a clear appeal to Israel.
Representatives of 26 western states and the EU Commission put pressure on Israel to allow aid deliveries in the Gaza Strip. “All border crossings and routes have to be used to enable a flood of relief goods to Gaza,” says a joint statement by three EU commissioners-including EU foreign officers Kaja Kallas-as well as the foreign ministers of most EU countries, Canada, Iceland, Japan, Norway, Switzerland and Great Britain. Germany is not there.
“A famine spreads before our eyes,” says the explanation. Urgent measures are now necessary to stop them. Food, accommodation, fuel, clean water and medication would be used, among other things. In addition, civilians and helpers would have to be protected at the distribution points.
The representatives continued to provide the Israeli government to the United Nations, non -governmental organizations and humanitarian actors immediately and permanently.
The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently confirmed that there was no hunger in the Gaza Strip. Israel “flooded” the coastal area with relief goods, the only ones who were hungry, were the hostages in the power of Hamas.
