US President Trump and Kremlin chief Putin meet to speak above all about Ukraine. Solutions are only possible for the Ukrainian President Selenskyj in a three-way format.
Shortly before direct talks between US President Donald Trump and Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin in the US state of Alaska, the Ukrainian head of state Wolodymyr Selenskyj is pushing for a triple meeting. “Real solutions are possible in this format,” said Selenskyj in his evening video message. Russia must end the war that started against his country. Ukraine needs security guarantees and a permanent peace.
The consultant in Selenskyj’s office, Mychajlo Podoljak, announced important criteria for the evaluation of the American-Russian talks in Alaska. According to this, Podoljak wrote at Telegram.
Kiev also expects trilateral negotiations between Ukraine, Russia and the USA, which should be coordinated with the European countries. Furthermore, all customers of Russian raw materials with isolation and loss of markets should be threatened. “First people die out, then politics begins,” wrote the consultant.
Trump could leave Alaska as a peace fifth if the first point of the ceasefire is “literally implemented within an hour,” said Podoljak. Otherwise “hard pressure equipment” must be used.
