The world looks spellbound on the talks between US President Donald Trump and Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin in Alaska. Meanwhile, the war in Ukraine continues and civilians suffer.
According to the occupation authorities, a woman has been killed in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk occupied by Russia. Three other people were injured, said the city’s mayor, Alexej Kulemsin, deployed by Moscow at Telegram. The attack was carried out by the Ukrainian military with an unadorned “far -reaching weapon”. The front line is around 40 kilometers from the city.
Ukraine has been defending itself against a Russian invasion for almost three and a half years. Donetsk was already under the control of East Ukrainian separatists between 2014 and 2022. Moscow annexed the region that was not fully occupied in September 2022.
