The most important findings
US President Donald Trump and Kremlin ruler Vladimir Putin spoke behind closed doors for around two and a half hours before they stepped in front of the press. Once compact sortedwhat the two said:
- Putin first spoke as a guest – a completely unusual process.
- The Russian ruler spoke several times of an “agreement” that was agreed without going into detail. Observers assume future narrower economic cooperation.
- Putin said he was interested in a solution to the “conflict” in Ukraine. He hoped that the inconsistent agreements could bring peace. As a reminder: The Russian president could have ended the war at any time – and can still.
- Host Donald Trump speaks of “big progress”, but not on an important point. This should mean Russia’s war against Ukraine without this.
- Both presidents state that they have been satisfied with the conversation.
What remains after this so -called press conference, in which the press was not allowed to ask any questions, remains exactly: questions. Many questions. It is currently completely unclear what the conversation between the two has shown. Clear is only: There will be no peace in Ukraine for the time being.
There may be answers in the coming hours when diplomacy has started between EU, NATO, Ukraine and the USA.
