Russia sees the summit of Kremlin chief Putin and US President Trump as a great success. Former Russian President Medvedev says how to proceed.
The summit between US President Donald Trump and Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin is a proof for Russia that negotiations at the end of the war and fighting can run at the same time. “The meeting has shown that negotiations are possible without prior conditions and at the same time with the continuation of the special surgery military operation,” said ex-President Dmitri Medvedev at Telegram. Russia officially describes the war against Ukraine with military special surgery.
Above all, both sides would have made it clear at their meeting in Alaska that it was primarily due to the Ukraine and the Europeans to reach an end to the fight, said the Vice -President of the National Security Council. However, Russia started the attack on Ukraine in February 2022.
Medvedev praised the summit in Alaska as a success for Russia. A full -fledged mechanism for contacts at the highest state level was created calmly and without ultimate. Putin presented the Russian conditions for the end of the war at the meeting. As a result, the United States would have built up no further pressure on Russia for the time being.
