Instagram and above all Tikkok – young people hang on the smartphone for hours. The content is often disturbing. An age limit has already been decided in Australia. In this country, too, more and more politicians are in favor of this. Most recently Cem Özdemir. “We don’t just leave young people behind the wheel without a driver’s license. There are driving lessons and a gradual romp. So we have to keep it with social media,” said the green politician. Minister of Education Karin Prien (CDU) had announced that an expert commission should develop suggestions for the protection of children in the digital world.
When it comes to the Germans, it is already clear what to do. A clear majority is to access social media such as TikKOK or Instagram to ban.
