Russian air raid – explosions in Kyiv and LWIW
Ukraine and Russia are far from the end of the war – even though further political discussions are planned. At night, Russia attacks out of the air again.
Despite the ongoing peace efforts, the Russian attacks on Ukraine do not decrease. At night a number of fight drones and rockets were fired towards the Ukrainian cities, the portal “The Kyiv Independent” wrote. According to the RBK-Ukraine news agency, explosions could be heard in the capital Kiev and in the West Ukrainian city of Lwiw (Lemberg).
RBK-Ukraine wrote, citing regional governors Maksym Kosyzkyj that the LWIW region is in action. Air alarm had already been spent in Kiev on Wednesday evening – the drone attacks had stopped there overnight. The air defense is also active here. People should stay in shelters, the news agency wrote, citing Kiev’s military administration. At first there was no precise information.
Ukraine has been defending itself against a Russian invasion for almost three and a half years. US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj and top European politicians, had advised on a peace process for Ukraine on Monday. Next, a meeting by Russian President Vladimir Putin with Selenskyj is planned to follow a trump meeting. However, there are no details about these planned conversations.
