Vice Chancellor Lars Klingbeil wants to continue talking about an AfD ban. The enemies of democracy would have to be combated, the SPD leader said in an interview.
SPD boss Lars Klingbeil has once again brought an AfD ban. “We must not stand next to it and look at if an obviously right -wing extremist and constitutional party wants to destroy our democracy and breaks politics with contempt for human beings,” the Vice Chancellor told the Funke media group (Saturday edition). “That is why it is a commitment from democrats to seriously consider an AfD ban.”
Klingbeil: AfD makes politics against workers
Klingbeil emphasized that the enemies of democracy had to be combated. “Whether a prohibition procedure can be successful must be clarified in the evaluation of the knowledge of the protection of the constitution,” added the Vice Chancellor.
With regard to strong survey values of the AfD before the local elections in North Rhine-Westphalia on September 14th, the SPD chairman said: “The AfD is not a workers’ party, it does politics against the workers.” The more influence the AfD has, the worse it is for the economy and “the people who work hard”, emphasized the SPD boss. “I fight for the SPD to be perceived again as a party that takes care of the employees.”
