Joe Gebbia: In office because of Trump’s dispute with Musk?
Trump had launched the studio by decree on Thursday. According to an official familiar with the plan, it is a reduced successor to the controversial Ministry of Government Efficiency, which was previously led by the billionaire Elon Musk. The White House officer, David Sacks, explained that Gebbia would monitor the redesign of around 26,000 federal web portals, many of which are out of date.
Musk had overwhelmed himself as a consultant with Trump: the tech billionaire, owner of the platform X and Tesla boss, led the cost reduction committee Doge by the end of May, with which massive cuts and job cuts were to be implemented. Then a dispute ignited a tax and budget law driven by Trump.
