It is certainly not the big offensive, but in small counterattacks, Ukraine has been doing terrain gains in the east for a few days. Nadelsticks against the Russian military machine, but effective.
The Ukrainian armed forces have again achieved terrain gains in the Donbass. Initially, army chief Olexander Syrskyj reported that three towns occupied by Russian units had been recaptured in the Donetsk region.
Later, the Ukrainian military secret service Hur reported the reconquest of another town. Together with an army unit, Russian soldiers from the village of Novomychajlowka were sold. The information could not be checked independently.
The Ukrainian armed forces have achieved several small terrain gains in the southeast of the country in the past few days. Until then, Russian troops were always on the rise.
The largest focal point remains the surroundings of the now destroyed city of Pokrowsk. “The situation is the most difficult there,” said Syrskyj. There, “the defense of Ukrainian independence and the Ukrainian flag are not only noble words, but also a daily risk and a daily effort”.
President Wolodymyr Selenskyj recently indicated that the Ukrainian armed forces wanted to switch from the defensive to the offensive. The reason for this was a post by US President Donald Trump, who had emphasized with a sports comparison that a defending team could not win.
