Trump has National Guard armed in Washington
The National Guard used by Trump in Washington should now apparently wear weapons. The US President could also expand the procedure to Chicago.
According to insiders, the anti-crime surgery in Washington, patrolling by President Donald Trump, will be armed from Sunday evening, according to insiders. The exact number of soldiers is still unclear, but they were either equipped with M17 pistols or M4 rifles, said two people familiar with the matter.
Hundreds of unarmed soldiers of the National Guard have been in the streets of Washington for two weeks after Trump proclaimed a crime emergency for the district. Defense Minister Pete Hegseth had approved the armament of troops last week.

Trump also announced that he would probably expand his action against crime to Chicago and also indicated on Sunday in Baltimore.
