Anti -Semitic attacks: Australia shows Iranian ambassadors after attacks

Australia has shown the Iranian ambassador for anti -Semitic attacks controlled by Tehran and closed his own message in Tehran. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese explained to journalists that the domestic intelligence service ASIO had confirmed that the Iranian government was behind attacks against the Jewish community. “These were extraordinary and dangerous acts of aggression, orchestrated by a foreign nation on Australian soil,” said Albanese. “These were attempts to undermine our social coexistence and sow in our community.”

Iranian embassy in Tehran also closed

Foreign Minister Penny Wong emphasized that it was the first time since World War II that Canberra refered an ambassador to the country. In addition to ambassador Ahmad Sadghi, three other Iranian diplomats Australia would have to leave within seven days.

The Australian embassy in Tehran hired its work, and all employees were safe in a third country. Wong called Australians to leave Iran and not travel to the country.

What attacks did it work?

Last October, the Jewish restaurant Lewis’ Continental Kitchen was badly damaged by an arson attack in Sydney, nobody was injured. A few weeks later, unknown fire lay in the Adass Israel Synagogue in Melbourne, which was also significantly damaged. Both did the Jewish community in fear.

Burke also announced a tightening of criminal law in order to be able to put the revolutionary guards on a terrorist list. “This behavior has reached a completely unacceptable new level,” said the minister.
