Some ministers pay thousands of euros in tax money in just three months for “bodied services”. This shows the answer to a small request from the AfD.
Minister often appear at public events or on television – and are observed closely. In order to make an optically good impression, many government members can be supported by visitors and hairdressers. The answer to a small request from the AfD parliamentary group shows what costs for “body-related services” incur.
The period was recorded from May 6th to August 4th, almost exactly three months. Minister of Economics Katherina Reiche (CDU) is at the top with expenditure of 19,264.76 euros. The pure service costs amount to almost 11,000 euros, the rest was due for travel expenses. The Chancellery of Friedrich Merz (CDU) spent EUR 12,501.30 for beauticians, visagists and hairdressers in the period.
So much of visagists, hairdressers and beauticians cost
Otherwise there are big differences among the departments. Minister of Health Nina Warken (CDU, 5063 euros), Minister of Construction Verena Hubertz (SPD, 3142 euros) and Minister of Labor Bärbel BAS (SPD, 1249 euros) are still clearly in the four -digit range. Other ministers, on the other hand, have hardly used services of this kind. For example, research minister Dorothee Bär (CSU) was only 357 euros, with Environment Minister Carsten Schneider (SPD) and Minister of Education Karin Prien (CDU) it was around 600 euros.
In the Ministry of Justice of Stefanie Hubig (SPD), on the other hand, there was no expenses during the period taken into account. By the way, quite different in the Federal Press Office. More than 12,000 euros were spent there. In its response to the AfD request, the Federal Government points out that this high sum comes from the fact that the images of the new government members were taken there at the beginning of the legislative period.
Minister spends significantly more than 50,000 euros
The expenses for photographers were also raised. Here the Ministry of Finance of SPD boss Lars Klingbeil (more than 33,700 euros) is by far the most generous. Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt (CSU), Foreign Minister Johann WadePhul (CDU) and Minister of Health Warken are around 19,000 euros.

Personally, competent and entertaining: Editor -in -chief Gregor Peter Schmitz sends you the most important content from the star-Credaction and arranges what Germany talks about.
The ministries come up with 58,738 euros for visitors and hairdressers, for photographers the departments paid a total of 172,608 euros. All expenses are disputed with taxpayers. The sums refer to services that have been used by ministers, state secretaries and commissioned. A personal assignment is loud Federal government not possible.
