Russia attacked the Ukrainian capital Kyiv in the night of Thursday. According to President Selenskyj have been killed at least eight people.
According to the Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj, at least eight people were killed in Russian attacks on Kiev. Dozens of other people were injured, Selenskyj said in online services on Thursday morning. “Russia decides on rockets instead of the negotiating table,” he added.
The Russian head of state Vladimir Putin is not interested in “real diplomacy,” said Selenskyj. Ukraine awaits a “reaction” of other countries to the nightly attacks on Kyiv.
Selenskyj in particular asked Moscow allies China and Russia-minded EU country Hungary to take a clear position.
Selenskyj sends negotiators to New York
Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko had previously spoken of a “massive” attack on the capital, which caused damage in five districts. A five -story building in the Darnyzja district has collapsed, he said. According to the military administration, a 14-year-old boy was among the fatalities.
The Russian armed forces had managed to take further areas in Ukraine in recent months. Putin has always knocked out suggestions for a ceasefire. Selenskyj said on Wednesday that members of his government would travel to New York on Friday for further discussions with the US government.
