Suddenly dangerous criminals were flawless. Officials manipulated criminal records for bribery – now there are prison terms.
In the Dominican Republic, several civil servants have been sentenced to high prison for manipulation of criminal registers. They are said to have collected funds and repaid entries about around 17,000 criminals, including murderers, rapists and kidnappers.
A total of nine accused, including a former prosecutor as well as ex-police officers and employees of the Ministry of Safety, received punishments of up to ten years, as the media of the Caribbean state reported. Three other defendants were acquitted for lack of evidence.
On these beaches they feel like in the Caribbean
Spiaggia di Vignanotica
White cliffs protrude steeply out of the turquoise sea and frame the 500 meter long bay with its pebble beach. The mix of dense forest growth, rugged rocks and crystal -clear water makes the Baia di Vignanotica one of the most beautiful bathing spots in the Gargano in the middle of Apulia. In summer, the sun is over the bay until late afternoon. Shadows donate the umbrellas of the only restaurant on the beach. Vignanotica between the places Mattinata and Vieste is the starting point for a beautiful simple coastal hike in the neighboring bay Baia Delle Zagare
