The black and red coalition peaks days in Würzburg to set the focus for autumn – and see new labor market numbers as an incentive.
In view of the increase in unemployment, the Union and the SPD want to drive a course for more economic growth. Three million unemployed are a signal in which everyone can see in which difficult Germany is in the recession in the third year, said Union faction leader Jens Spahn (CDU) when continuing an exam of the parliamentary group tips from the CDU/CSU and SPD in Würzburg. Creating growth again is a focus of the coalition agreement.
Among other things, Spahn named tax incentives for investing companies and relief for energy costs. SPD parliamentary group leader Matthias Miersch said that the government really had to deliver the government, for example with reporting obligations for companies. CSU state group leader Alexander Hoffmann pointed out significantly higher investments, for example in the infrastructure, which should also help the economy.
The unemployment number has increased to more than three million for the first time in more than ten years, as the Federal Employment Agency announced. 3.025 million people were unemployed in August.
The parliamentary tips of the Union and SPD want to stake political priorities for autumn in Würzburg. After a few disputes, a better common basis for government work is also to be achieved.
