Moscow’s chief of staff announces the continuation of the attacks

Ukraine calls for negotiations to terminate the Russian attack war. But direct discussions of the warring parties are not in sight. Moscow also sees the fault among the Europeans.

Russia’s chief of staff Waleri Gerassimow has announced a continuation of the Russian attack war with new goals for an autumn offensive, despite Western demands for peace negotiations. At the moment, attacks along the entire front line were constantly running, said Gerassimow about the invasion of Ukraine, which has been going on for more than three and a half years. “Today we set the tasks for the groups of the armed forces who are aimed at the autumn period,” he said. In contrast to the claims, the statements are in contrast to the claims of US President Donald Trump to end the war quickly.

According to Gerassimow, around 99.7 percent of the Ukrainian area of Luhansk are currently checked by the Russian armed forces. In the Ukrainian Donetsk area it is 79 percent and 76 percent in the areas of Cherson and Saporischschja 74 percent. The information is not independent.

Russia demands that the Ukrainian armed forces completely withdraw from the Donetsk area and leave the Moscow Army region to achieve an armistice. The Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj rejects this – also because the cities of Slowjansk and Kramatorsk held there by Ukraine are considered important bastions of defense. Russia therefore threatens to conquer the cities.

Russian allegations of sabotage by Europeans

The Russian delegation member in the previous negotiations, Kirill Dmitrijew, said the Europeans tried to extend the Ukraine conflict through incomprehensible demands. The United States had started to understand that. “The EU should stop saboting the peace process,” he said. Russia, for example, repeatedly criticizes that Europeans want to send troops to Ukraine to secure future peace. Moscow categorically rejects representatives from NATO countries.

The Europeans in turn accuse Russia of delay tactics. Moscow tries to gain time for new attacks with the prospect of negotiations and always new deadlines, according to Kiev. Russia has been waging its destructive war war for more than three and a half years.
