“They never work again in the White House” – why Trump is now firing the gardeners
US President Donald Trump has just had the famous rose garden of the White House planned. Now he releases the gardeners. The reason is a mistake when repotting.
If you want to see Donald Trump enthusiastically, you have to listen to him when he talks about real estate. Ball halls, room decorations, noble building materials-hardly one topic recently made the eyes of the US president shine as when he spoke about his conversion of the White House. But passion also works in the other direction: due to damage to plant transport, a gardener company has now attracted the president’s full anger.
“I have been responsible for many great buildings over the years. In the White House, I am very proud of the beautiful stonemasons that we have done at the rose garden,” Trump swarming a mail at Truth. “Three days ago, when I admired the stones, I discovered a huge gap in the limestone that stretched more than 23 meters. It was deep and disgusting!” He raged and screamed around, admits Trump himself. “I asked: was that vandalism or stupidity?”

This question was quickly clarified: thanks to the surveillance technology in the garden of the White House – the president naturally praises that “we have installed the best surveillance technology at all” – soon the moment of damage was found. When transporting a heavy flower pot, Gärtner had apparently used a defective van, which leaned down more on one side and thus pulled the deep scratch into the “soft, beautiful stone”, as the surveillance video contained in the post shows.
This can only have a consequence for Trump: these “stupid people” would never work again in the White House, he rages. He would replace the stones and have it taken into account. “We caught them cold.”

Controversial conversion
The conversion of the White House, celebrated by Trump, is extremely controversial in the United States. The rose garden planned for the first time in 1913 by the then first Lady Ellen Louise Axson Wilson has been redesigned several times, but never as strong as in Trump’s second term. In July the entire green area was removed and replaced by stone slabs. While, according to the President, he “much nicer than one could have imagined in decades”, the reaction in large parts was rather horrified.
Also with the interior decor of the White House, Trump depends on his own taste. The simple restraint of the Oval Office, for example, has given way to countless gold decorations. The next project is already pending: from September the work on a $ 200 million ballroom should begin.
