The government wants people to work in retirement. According to a report, the federal government wants to do without around 900 million euros in taxes.
According to a newspaper report, the planned active pension is to relieve the retailer working by almost one billion euros annually. This emerges from figures from the Federal Ministry of Finance, reports the “Bild” newspaper (Monday edition). Accordingly, tax -proceeds of 900 million euros are planned in the federal budget for 2026 by the introduction of the active pension that is targeted for January. According to “Bild”, it should be one billion euros in 2027.
“We want to try this on the basis of voluntariness,” said Chancellor Friedrich Merz in the ZDF summer interview. The overall working time must be extended. “But this applies in particular to those who can and who want it. And now we have to see what will become of it.”
Coalition factions decide on a large pension package
The active pension planned by the coalition stipulates that older workers who work beyond the regular retirement age can in future earn EUR 2,000 per month.
On Friday, the tops of the coalition factions CDU, CSU and SPD decided to have a large pension package after a two -day closed conference in Würzburg. It is to be adopted this year and also includes the active pension. CDU general secretary Carsten Linnemann said the “Bild”: “We have to get started and advance Germany. We now need a departure.”
