Ukraine accuses Moscow of having abducted numerous minors from areas occupied by Russia. Now another group is back, it says Kyiv.

This was succeeded in an initiative by the President, said the Ukrainian human rights officer Dmytro Lubinez at Telegram. Presidential office chief Andrij Jermak wrote on X: “For years they lived under pressure and fear.”
Accordingly, children and adolescents between 3 months and 18 years were brought back. Already in Ukrainian controlled area there is a mother with her 15-year-old daughter and a boy with disabilities.
Lubinez and Jermak gave no information about the number of people backed. Lubinez ‘office, authorities and international partners were therefore involved.
In the past, the return of Ukrainian minors was also conveyed internationally. In the meantime, children and adolescents often come back to Ukrainian -controlled areas.
Information about kidnapped children from Ukraine fluctuate
Russia has been transferring Ukraine to a destructive war of attack for more than three and a half years. According to Ukrainian information, more than 19,000 children and adolescents from the areas occupied by Russia were “deported”.
However, Kiev presented only a list of 339 minors in direct negotiations with Moscow in Istanbul (Türkiye), the return of which requires the Ukrainian side. The International Criminal Court in Den Haag issued arrest warrants against Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin and the children’s representative Maria Lwowa-Belowa due to the allegations in 2023. The Kremlin rejects the allegations.
