Maximilian Krah is invited as a witness in the Dresden process for alleged espionage for China. His former assistant is said to have worked for a secret service for more than two decades.
In the process for agent activity for a Chinese secret service against his former employee, the AfD member of the Bundestag Maximilian Krah testified as a witness. He stated at the negotiation at the Dresden Higher Regional Court that his entire team had had access to his personal account in his then office in the European Parliament. From this account you also have access to documents and emails. He delegated tasks such as managing access rights and the sorting of emails to his team. “I hate all this stuff,” said Krah.
The general prosecutor accuses the accused Jian G. as an assistant in Krah’s MPs’ office in the European Parliament from 2019 to 2024 and sometimes passed on to Chinese bodies. He also compiled personal information about AfD leadership staff and spied out Chinese dissidents. As early as 2002, the German is said to have been employees of a Chinese secret service. A suspected accomplice is also accused.
Seven further negotiation dates are scheduled in the process by the end of September.
