Dirndl instead of business look: Research Minister Dorothee Bär comes to the Chancellery in Tracht. What is behind it?
Federal Research Minister Dorothee Bär has attracted special attention in the federal cabinet. The CSU politician broke through the usual dress code and came to the Federal Chancellery in the dirndl. The reason was an employee festival in her ministry, which was created as an Oktoberfest, as a spokeswoman for the minister explained when asked. Bär went directly from the cabinet session to open the celebration.
The politician from Franconia has often caused a stir with her outfits. In 2015 she was published for a Bundestag meeting in the FC Bavaria jersey. A few years later, Bär’s appearance made headlines in a bright creation by designer Marina Hoermanseder. With a close skirt and pink top, she came to the awarding of the German Computer Game Prize.
