It has been known for a few months that Joe Biden has prostate cancer. Now a skin cancer surgery has also been carried out by the former US president.
At Joe Biden, skin cancer lesions had to be removed on the forehead. This was confirmed by his spokeswoman for US media. It was a MOHS surgery in which layers of tumor tissue are cut out until there are no more tumor residues.
Previously, a video of the tabloid “Inside Edition” had triggered speculation about the health of the former US president. It shows bidges when leaving a church in Rehoboth Beach in his home state of Delaware. A large scar can be clearly seen on his forehead.
During his tenure as US President-in February 2023-Biden had to undergo a similar intervention. He was removed from his chest. The White House announced that it was a basal cell carcinoma, the most common type of skin cancer. The spokeswoman for the former president did not say when the latest intervention took place at Biden.
Joe Biden suffers from prostate cancer
In May of this year, Bidens Office announced that the 82-year-old was diagnosed with an “aggressive” form of prostate cancer. The cancer has already spread into the bones. According to the doctors, the form of the disease is treatable.
Even during his term, Joe Biden’s health was a permanent topic. When he took office, the Democrat politician was the oldest president of the United States at the age of 78. Especially in recent years as President, mental dropouts and physical weaknesses have become increasingly noticeable, but Biden still wanted to compete against Donald Trump. After a disastrous TV duel with Trump, he withdrew his candidacy for health reasons and made room for his vice president Kamala Harris.
