There has also been a state information portal on the offer of hospitals for some time – and there is criticism. Will a decision soon be made?
The “Federal Clinic Atlas” launched by the Federal Ministry of Health for the services of hospitals in Germany is being tested. A decision has not yet been made, said a spokesman on request. At the same time, he referred to multiple statements by department head Nina Warken (CDU) that “double structures” were not efficient. The ministry will inform about the result of the ongoing examination.
Tacho display for comparing
The comparison portal was launched in May 2024 by the then Minister Karl Lauterbach (SPD). It should provide information about the services and treatment quality of the 1,700 hospitals. For classification, the number of cases for treatments and the staffing are shown in a speedometer display. From the beginning, criticism of the countries, specialist societies and the clinic industry had become loud at the portal, which offers its own directory.
According to a report by the editorial network Germany, Warken had the dissolution of a project group for the “Bundes-Klinik-Atlas” retrospectively on June 30th. The ministry spokesman explained that the end of a project group in the ministry was not synonymous with the fact that the content of the content was stopped. In the case mentioned, the support of the “Bundes-Klinik-Atlas'” has been continued by a specialist department since July 1. The Ministry is currently examining the various options internally, and this test continues.
