Markus Söder is a confessed “Star Wars” fan. At his appearance on the Gillamoos, his party provided appropriate musical accompaniment – and out of the tone.
Musical faux pas: The music of “Star Wars” Antiheld Darth Vader, of all things, played the CSU at the Gillamoos Volksfest at the appearance of its party leader Markus Söder. After the majority of the listeners in the marquee in Abensberg in Lower Bavaria obviously not noticed the Bavarian Prime Minister in the end: this music belongs to the dark side of power, “but we are the good side of power”.
In the “Star Wars” science fiction series, Darth Vader is one of the leaders of the Galactic Empire. He also developed into one of the most iconic bad guys in film history because of his black uniform, including a helmet and artificial breathing noise. Söder is a big fan of the saga.
