Charlie Kirk speaks at an event at a US university when it is shot on the right-wing conservative podcaster. The US President announces his death.
According to US President Donald Trump, the right-wing conservative US podcaster and activist Charlie Kirk died after a firearm incident at a university in the US state of Utah. The Republican wrote this on his Truth social platform.
Previously, the Utah Valley University had announced in OREM that the podcaster, which is considered a Trump ally, had been shot on campus. A shot on the guest speaker was fired at around 12.10 p.m. (local time). A suspect was taken into custody. Meanwhile, several US media reported that the person who shot should not yet be caught.
Trump wrote that Kirk was great and legendary. “Nobody understood the youth in the United States better or had a better feeling for them than Charlie.” He was loved and admired by “Allen”, including himself, added Trump. “Charlie, we love you!”
Million audience on social media
Kirk is a well-known representative of the right-wing conservative movement in the USA and is considered a Trump ally. He founded the youth activist organization Turning Point USA, which is aimed at students. He has an audience of millions on social media. He is also a well -known podcaster.
In the United States, fatal firearms are part of everyday life. There are always always to be felled at universities. Pistols and weapons of larger calibers are easily accessible and in circulation. Particularly severe attacks always spark debates about tightening weapons law. However, concrete progress has so far failed to materialize-especially because of the resistance of the Republicans and the financially influential weapon lobby, the reforms have been blocking for years.
