The controversial Gaza Humanitrian Foundation (GHF) has announced that it will initially suspend distributions of relief goods due to allegedly planned actions of the Islamist Hamas, which are only intended for women in the Gaza Strip. At a auxiliary center in Chan Junis in the south of the area, hundreds of men would have gathered during the day. “We have been informed by trustworthy local sources that these men belong to Hamas and planned to storm the place,” said the foundation supported by Israel and the USA.
“We also received credible information that Hamas members planned to infiltrate the expenses intended for women only as women,” said a statement.
The information could initially not be verified independently.
