The location in Gaza is the focus of a rally in which Sahra Wagenknecht will also take part this weekend. Other celebrities also demonstrate against Israel.
After the attack by the terrorist organization Hamas on Israel and the resulting war in Gaza, the sympathy for the Palestinians in Germany did not tear off. Another anti-Israel demo has been announced in Berlin for this Saturday.
An alliance around the BSW politician Sahra Wagenknecht, the actor Dieter Hallervorden and the rapper Massiv wants to demonstrate against the Israeli procedure in the Gaza War from 2 p.m. in Berlin. According to the police, 15,000 people are registered for the rally entitled “Stop the genocide in Gaza” at the Brandenburg Gate.
Israel rejects the accusation of genocide and emphasizes the fight against the terrorist militia Hamas. The Hamas attack on Israel with more than 1200 murder victims on October 7, 2023 was the trigger of the war, the terrorists continue to hold hostages, including German citizens. On the other side of the Brandenburg gate, a proisraeli counter demo with 100 people is planned.
The Gaza demonstration is also generally directed against arms deliveries in war areas and against more armor in Germany. It is required that the Federal Government should work for peace negotiations and a two-state solution in the Middle East and for diplomacy in the Ukraine War.

According to the organizers, the musicians Bausa and Daniel Aminati and the journalist Gabriele Krone-Schmalz should also occur. The musician Roger Waters and the economist Jeffrey Sachs should comment on video. The musician Peter Maffay had supported the call for the demo, but will not be present, according to the organizers.
The police are in action with around 1000 forces because of this and other demos in Berlin, as a spokesman said. Among other things, a train with 10,000 participants entitled “Who owns the city” is also registered in the Prenzlauer Berg.
