Israel wants to take the city of Gaza and asked the approximately one million residents to escape to the south. But many are waiting there – despite new Israeli attacks and other dead.
According to information from medical circles, at least 39 people have been killed in attacks by the Israeli army in the city of Gaza and other parts of the coastal strip. Israel exacerbated his attacks on the city of Gaza, said the spokesman for the civil protection controlled by the terrorist Hamas, Mahmud Basal.
In early August, Israel had announced that the army should take the entire city to smash the Hamas units suspected there.
Renewed urgent escape call
The Israeli military spokesman Avichai Adraee called again all residents of the city of Gaza to immediately flee to so -called humanitarian zones further south. So far, more than 250,000 people have been deducted from the city with an estimated around one million inhabitants, he wrote to X.
The media office in the Gaza Strip controlled by the Hamas even estimated the number of floats at 350,000. Previously, the office had spoken of around 65,000 refugees. These and all other information from the war zone could initially not be checked.
In a later X-Post, Adraee called on the residents of a high-rise and surrounding tents to flee immediately, since Israel will attack the building shortly. Shortly afterwards, the military announced that the high -rise in which “military infrastructure” was hit by Hamas. Nothing became known about possible victims.
Although the Internet in the city hardly works after Israel has destroyed many of the high -rise buildings with transmission masts, Adraee calls up quickly. They can also be received by cell phones with Israeli SIM cards.
Many of the people in the city of Gaza, some of whom had already fled from other parts of the coastal strip during the war, did not want to withdraw into the zones in the center and al-Mawasi in the southwest, despite the danger of life, since Israel has also attacked such zones in the past. Others made their way south in overloaded vehicles or on foot over the coastal road towards the south.
Massacre in Israel triggered war
The Hamas terrorist attack was triggered on October 7, 2023, in which around 1,200 people killed in Israel and more than 250 were dragged into the Gaza strips, including children. Since then, Israel has been fighting Hamas, who in turn strives for Israel’s destruction. There are still 48 hostages in Gaza, 20 of which are still alive according to Israeli information.
According to Palestinian information, more than 64,600 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war, with not a distinction between fighters and civilians. Large parts of the densely populated coastal strip were destroyed by Israel.
Internationally, criticism of Israel’s military approach is growing. Critics accuse the army of war crimes, some also genocide such as Spain’s government. Israel claims the right to self -defense.
