According to Kirk criticism: Visa withdrawal for ZDF journalist Theveßen required

After the deadly assassination attempt on the right influencer and Trump confidante Charlie Kirk, a real campaign against his critic is running on the Internet. Politicians and other influential people from the right spectrum call to denounce or report critical online posts about Kirk-for example to the US Vice Secretary of State Christopher Landau.

He wants to target foreigners who live in the United States, who “praise, justify or down” the incident in his eyes. He instructed consular staff to take appropriate steps, ”Landau wrote in the online service X. He asked for information.

The former US ambassador in Germany, Richard Grenell, now complied with this request. He demanded the visa by post, the ZDF chief correspondent in the USA, Elmar Theveßen.

Grenell, also a Trump confidant, describes Theveßen in it as the left “Wehiegler”, who pretends to be a journalist and repeatedly calls on violence against people with whom he does not agree politically.

In his posting, Grenell published a contribution in which Theveßen about the deputy chief of staff in the White House, Stephen Miller, says that in his beliefs “comes a bit from the ideology of the Third Reich”. Previously, the ZDF journalist had already been accused of false statements and positions by Charlie Kirk on the show “Markus Lanz”. The ZDF later informed the “regret” of Theveßens about not clarifying the connection of his statements.

Landauer commented on Grenell’s contribution with a picture on which only “El Quitavisas” was written next to the coat of arms of his authority, in German, for example, “The Visa-Entzieher”. So far, the ZDF has not commented on the matter.
