Investigators are performing in three federal states against a probably right -wing -radical group. Now there are first details about the accused.
Among the accused in the raid against a presumably right -wing radical group in three federal states are two active as well as two former Bundeswehr soldiers and one federal police officer. This was confirmed by the Celle General Prosecutor’s Office on request. The searches yesterday were related to previous investigations in the area of the possibly right -wing extremist group “Nordbund”. Several media had previously reported.
The suspicion of the presumably right -wing control of the accused continued, a spokesman for the Attorney General said. According to the provisional evaluation by the State Criminal Police Office, there were no one that is subject to the War Weapons Controlling Act after provisional evaluation by the raid.
Weapons and data carriers are still being examined
Further questions – for example to connect the accused with each other – left the Attorney General unanswered with reference to the ongoing investigations. These are particularly concerned with the evaluation of electronic data carriers and detailed weapons underground assessments.
Terror investigators and special forces of the police yesterday searched 14 objects in Lower Saxony, Baden-Württemberg and North Rhine-Westphalia and, among other things, secured several sharp short and long weapons. The eight accused between the ages of 32 and 57 are suspected of forming an armed group from a presumably right -wing radical attitude and being operated in it.
Four of the accused should also have weapons of war and other fully automatic firearms. At one of them, the Lower Saxony State Criminal Police Office confiscated a pistol and ammunition at the end of April, it said.
The investigation is conducted by the Central Office of Terrorism of the General Prosecutor Celle with the LKA Lower Saxony.
