The front reports of Russians and Ukrainians are contradictory. The only thing that is certain is that the heavy battles continue.
The armed forces of Russia and Ukraine represent the current combat acts.
Russia’s chief of staff Waleri Gerassimow spoke on Wednesday, according to Russian agencies, of off -roading around the city of Pokrowsk, who had been fought for months in the east of Ukraine. Ukrainian military sources, on the other hand, reported from the city’s surroundings of the encirclement of larger Russian units, the capitulation of which will be expected shortly. An independent presentation of the situation was not possible.
“Our armed forces practically move in all directions,” said Gerassimow. The Ukrainians, on the other hand, tried “unsuccessful, with all means and regardless of losses”, to stop the Russian advance. The general staff in Kyiv reported a total of 117 battles along the entire front line, but with unchanged positions.
At Kupjansk in the Charkiw region, a gas line that Russian soldiers had used to penetrate into the city was destroyed, it said. The Russian armed forces had crawled through the tube and had tried to avoid the Ukrainian lines of defense and to fall in the back of them.
