US government is creating the program to combat disinformation

The governor of Utah, Spencer Cox, had already warned last week that the opponents of the United States could exploit the murder of Kirks. “We have bots from Russia, China and the whole world who try to spread disinformation and to stare into violence,” he said.

The US government had abolished a program for monitoring and combating foreign interference and disinformation in April. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio justified this with the need to preserve the “freedom of expression”.
