Budapest complex: “Human hunt in Budapest”: Five years in prison for Hanna S.

When Hanna S. enters the courtroom, several dozen supporters are up and donated. Shortly afterwards they will cry and comfort each other, because the Higher Regional Court of Munich (OLG) decides: Five years in prison for the alleged left -wing extremist Hanna S for dangerous bodily harm and a member of a criminal association. The judgment is not yet final.

The court saw it as proven that Hanna S., together with others on the “Day of Honor” in February 2023 in Budapest, brutally beat people who assigned them to the right -wing extremist scene.

The “Budapest complex” employs several dishes

In the Hungarian capital, right-wing extremists from all over Europe came together at the time to commemorate the attempt to break out of the German Wehrmacht, the Waffen-SS and its Hungarian collaborators from the city besieged by the Red Army. Defender Yunus Ziyal had given the event a “neo-Nazi show” at the beginning of the process. “It is currently the largest mass event of the extreme right.”

Several people are said to be involved in the so-called Budapest complex, seven others had faced the authorities in various locations in January, and the Attorney General raised the GLAG for six of them for the OLG Düsseldorf. The non-born person Maja T., who was delivered to Hungary last year, also includes the group that has now been pursued in Germany-although the Federal Constitutional Court had prohibited this. But the decision from Karlsruhe was a few minutes late. T. threatens in Hungary with a conviction up to 24 years in prison.

Judge speaks of “human hunt”

Hanna S. was accused of being involved in two attacks in Munich. According to the information, the victims were attacked with batons and pepper spray. The court refrained from being convicted of attempted murder, as requested by the federal prosecutor. You see no evidence of a corresponding killing intent. But it is clear that there is no good political violence.

“Even if you agree, the state is not doing enough violence against right -wing extremists, this does not justify the hunting of human beings that was operated in Budapest,” said the presiding judge. Hanna S. and her fellow campaigners would have made themselves those who actually want to combat: enemies of the constitution.

The court emphasized that the process in the high -security hall in the Stadelheim correctional facility was not a political process. That is a conspiracy story. Hanna’s supporters who held a rally before and after the process saw it differently. After the process, “Free Hanna” calls and demands for freedom were loud for all political prisoners.

The punishment could have been different if Hanna S. Reue had shown, the judges said. But there was no confession. Otherwise one would have landed “in a completely different area” in the overall penalty, said the presiding judge in his reasoning. He appealed to the 30 -year -old, who was supposed to be awarded an artist, in the future with art and with words on world events – and not by force.
