The governmental agencies in the United States threatens to assume the money. A new household is not decided a few days before an important period. Trump gets on with the Democrats.
A few days before a threatening standstill of work in the US government agencies, a dispute between US President Donald Trump and the Democrats are growing up. The parties accused each other of being responsible for a possible so -called shutdown from October 1st. Trump said on Friday that “left -wing radicals” Democrats wanted this standstill.
If there is no agreement in the congress until Wednesday night – Trump also needs votes from the Democrats – a “government shutdown” threatens. The federal government would then no longer be available to fresh money. Numerous authorities would have to hire their work, many state employees have not received any salary for the time being. “Shutdowns” has already existed in the United States.
Democrat: Trump keeps America hostage
Trump had burst a meeting with Democrats days ago – he described claims in the area of health care that the opposition ties in with approval for further budget money as “ridiculous”.
The democratic minority leader in the Senate, Chuck Schumer, countered: While the Americans are faced with increasing costs and a crisis in the healthcare system, Trump did not do his job. “The Democrats are ready to work to avoid a shutdown – Trump and the Republicans keep America hostage.” Others were similar. Among other things, they build their consent to demands to protect the health care of many Americans.
Reports: Shutdown threatens layoffs
If a shutdown is not averted, some federal employees could lose their jobs: According to the US media, the budgetary office (OMB) has instructed several federal authorities to adapt to layoffs in the event of a standstill. Projects that are not already protected by legally defined financing would have to bear the “main load” of the standstill of government transactions, reported, among other things, the news site politico and the public broadcaster Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), citing a corresponding document of the budgetary office.
Programs are affected whose financing would expire the current status, for which there were no other means and that would not be in accordance with the priorities of the President. Employees would then not only be temporarily released in the hope that a household will be passed later, but could also be released permanently.
