Ultrar rights increase before Trump meeting pressure on Netanyahu

Trump’s Gaza Peace Plan encounters resistance: Netanyahu’s partners lean on concessions to the Palestinians and insist on a complete destruction of Hamas.

Before Benjamin Netanyahus Meeting with US President Donald Trump on Monday, ultra-right coalition partners and settler representatives increase the pressure on the Israeli head of government. They urged Netanyahu to annex parts of the occupied West Bank and not end the war in the Gaza Strip without ending the Islamist terrorist organization Hamas, the “Times of Israel” reported.

Trump had recently emphasized that he would not allow Israel to incorporate the West Bank. The Palestinians claim the area as part of a future independent state.

Trump will present Netanyahu Gaza Peace Plan

At a meeting with a white house on Monday, Trump Netanyahu wants to present a plan with 21 points for an end to the Gaza War that had been raging for almost two years. This provides for an immediate release of the remaining Hamas Geiseln in return for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners and the withdrawal of the Israeli army from the coastal strip.

Hamas should no longer play a role in the Gaza Strip, but Israel must not annex the area either. Instead, there should be a transitional government. A way to a future Palestinian state as a result of peace negotiations under US mediation is also reported to the report. So far, Netanyahu vehemently rejected this.

Strong resistance of ultra -right partners

The right-wing extremist Israeli Minister of Police Itamar Ben-Gvir wrote on the platform X that Netanyahu has no mandate for ending the war without an absolute victory over Hamas.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has placed three key claims with a view to Trump’s plan according to the Israeli TV station: The Palestinian autonomic authority should not play a role, Hamas has to be completely disarmed, and Israel has to annex parts of the West Bank without recognizing a Palestinian state. However, this would mean the end of the two -state solution in Middle East. In order to stay in power, Netanyahu is dependent on his ultra -right coalition partners.
