Putin lets 135,000 young Russians move in for military service

Putin urgently needs replenishment for the Russian attack war against Ukraine. He appoints a large number of men for training for a possible front use.

Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the convening of 135,000 men for military service by decree. The 18- to 30-year-olds would be confiscated from October 1 to December 31, it was said in the decree published by the government newspaper “Rossijskaja Gaseta”. The recruits in Putin’s war of attack against Ukraine may only be used after one -year military service. You must then commit to military service by contract.

So far, Russia has always moved in twice a year – each in spring and autumn. This spring there was the record number of 160,000 new soldiers. According to a law currently treated in the parliament, the convenient and sample points should work all year round in the future. In the army, however, moved in from April 1 to July 15 and from October 1 to December 31.

The Kremlin has increased the troop strength of the Russian army three times since the incident in neighboring Ukraine. Last autumn, Putin recently ordered the target strength to increase to 2.4 million military members – of which 1.5 million soldiers. Officially, conscripts do not take part in the war against Ukraine, but they were involved in fighting in the Russian border area several times.
