Trump introduces the peace plan for Gaza – Israel agrees

US President Donald Trump flanked negotiations with Israel and Hamas for peace in the Gaza Strip with a plan. But whether the Hamas is going on remains open at first.

Israel accepts the plan of US President Donald Trump to terminate the Gaza War with the Islamist Palestinian organization Hamas. “I support your plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at a meeting with Trump in Washington. It is currently unclear whether Hamas will agree. According to its own, the terrorist organization has not yet received the plan. Hamas had not participated in the conversation on Monday.

The plan provides for a quick release of the remaining hostages from Islamist Hamas – in return for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners – and the withdrawal of the Israeli army from the Gaza Strip. The terrorist organization Hamas should no longer play a role in the administration of the coastal strip, and Israel is also not allowed to annex the area. Instead, a transitional government of “apolitical” Palestinians and international experts should ensure the daily administration of the Gaza Strip and the care of people. A “Peace Council” under Trump’s direction and with the participation of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair is to monitor and supervise the expert government.

“I believe that today we take a crucial step towards the end of the war in Gaza and that we can create the prerequisites for dramatic progress in peace in the Middle East – and, I think, also in very important Muslim countries -” said Netanyahu in Washington. The plan is in line with the conditions of Israel for the time after the war, said the Israeli head of government. “We will bring all of our hostages back to Israel, dismantle Hamas’ military capacities, end their political rule and make sure that Gaza never represents a threat to Israel again.”

Trump: Are “very close” on a solution

However, if the Islamist Hamas does not agree to the plan, Trump Netanyahu recovery in Israel’s action against the terrorist organization. “You would have my full support with what you have to do.”

All parties involved agreed to the plan, said Trump – except Hamas. “I have the feeling that we will get a positive answer.” It was very close to a solution, Trump emphasized. Trump thanked Netanyahu for his approval and spoke of a “historical day”.

Trump also wants to build “modern miracle cities” in the destroyed Gaza Strip and thus strengthen the coastal region. A plan for economic development and reconstruction should be developed, it was said in the plan presented by the USA to terminate the Gaza War with the Islamist Palestinian organization Hamas. Numerous international groups have already developed investment proposals and development ideas.

With the initiative that bears its name, Trump claims to ensure security in the region and create jobs. The point is one of 20 proposals from the US plan that Israel accepted. In the past, Trump had already thought to develop the Gaza Strip as a high-gloss real estate project: as “Riviera of the Middle East”. The proposal met with violent criticism.

White house: Netanyahu apologizes to Qatar

The Israeli head of government Benjamin Netanyahu also asked Qatar to apologize for the air raid from the beginning of September, according to the White House. During his visit to the White House, Netanyahu, together with US President Donald Trump, and the catarian Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani on the phone, said the White House in Washington.

Netanyahu expressed his “deep regret” that Israel had violated the Qatarian sovereignty and that in the rocket attack on Hamas goals, a Qatarian soldier had been killed in the explanation. Netanyahu has confirmed that “Israel will not do such an attack again in the future”.

At the suggestion of Trump, Israel and Qatar agreed with the United States on a trilateral mechanism “to improve coordination, strengthen communication, to solve mutual symptoms and to intensify joint efforts to defend threats”.

At the beginning of September, the Israeli army flown to destinations in Katar’s capital Doha, which, according to army information, was directed against the management level of the radical Islamic Palestinian organization Hamas. Six people died, but nobody from the top Hamas leadership.

In addition to Egypt and the USA, Qatar plays an important role in the indirect conversations between Israel and Hamas about a ceasefire in the Gaza War and the release of the hostages held by Hamas.

The radical Islamic organization Hamas started the war on October 7, 2023 with an attack on Israel. According to Israeli information, around 1200 people were killed and 251 was delayed as hostages. On the subsequent military offensive of Israel in the Gaza Strip, which continues to this day, more than 65,000 people have been killed and large parts of the coastal area with more than two million inhabitants were destroyed.
