Forsa regularly determines how the top political personnel are in voting favor. In the current ranking, the coalition frustration is clearly reflected.
The crisis of the black and red coalition is visible in the current politician core of Forsa for RTL and NTV: Important actors of the government alliance lose trust, in particular Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Chancellor Department Thorsten Frei and Federal Minister of Labor Bärbel BAS. Defense Minister Boris Pistorius continues to lead the ranking, but he also has to accept loss.
The values of the Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder also worsen significantly, while his NRW counterpart Hendrik Wüst can stable second place. Federal Foreign Minister Johann WadePhul, who gives way to trust against the coalition -trending, ends in third place.
Union faction leader Jens Spahn has to accept the worst value of the coalition politicians represented by far. Under him, BSW boss Sahra Wagenknecht and the AfD leadership duo Alice Weidel and Tino Chrupalla, all three are with a slight upswing.

According to the survey, great trust between East and West
The representatives of the “old” parties taken into account in the ranking – with the exception of the left – are almost worse off in the new federal states than in the old federal states. The political actors of AfD and BSW again enjoy greater trust in eastern Germany than in the West.

Conclusion: The coalition crisis is reflected in the dwindling trust of voters in almost all political actors of the government parties. At the same time, polarization increases. Bärbel BAS, for example, loses the total population, but wins in his own warehouse – with Johann WadePhul it is still vice versa. The representatives of the “old parties” are sometimes less trust in the east than in the West. However, the representatives of the AfD cannot use the loss of trust in the others not yet noticeably.
To the methodology: The assessment of the question of who the respondents see the country “in good hands” is based on a scale from 0 (“not in good hands”) to 100 (“full in good hands”); The mean is shown on the basis of those who know the politician. In the period from September 30 to October 2, 2025, Forsa surveyed 1501 people on behalf of RTL Germany.
