Fires were set one after the other in front of the CSU and AfD party offices in Munich. Now the police arrested a 20-year-old man.
A suspect was arrested after the fire in front of the CSU party headquarters and the AfD party office in Munich. As the police announced, the 20-year-old man was caught on Tuesday near his apartment in Munich. He was placed under arrest warrant, police said. Among other things, it is being investigated on suspicion of arson.
Facade of CSU party headquarters slightly damaged
The fire in front of the CSU party headquarters was discovered on Sunday night and the facade was slightly damaged. Six-figure damage was caused by a fire in front of a building on October 2nd in Munich-Perlach, which, according to information from the DPA news agency, houses the AfD party office. According to police, there had already been a fire in front of the same building on September 29th.
State security experts from the Munich criminal police took over the investigation and are examining a connection between the three crimes.
