These are “preparations for upcoming international trips”. This is also interesting because the 79-year-old has expressed ambivalence about the effects of vaccinations in the past.

During the pandemic, in his first term in office, Trump initially downplayed the threat of the coronavirus. He later had himself vaccinated against Covid-19, received several booster vaccinations and also recommended this to the population. There was some headwind from our own camp.

Regarding the flu vaccination, Trump said ten years ago in an interview with the radio station Sirius XM that he had never been vaccinated against the flu and had never had the flu. “I don’t like the idea of ​​someone injecting bad stuff into your body,” he said at the time. Trump recently claimed that there is “no reason” to vaccinate newborns against hepatitis B – which is actually strongly recommended by the medical community. He also questioned the effectiveness of other common vaccinations.

There is also a persistent claim that the vaccines cause autism. There is no scientific evidence for this either.
